especially with Microsoft software (and hardware too in this case.) It's frustrating. I don't think that is the reason but you never know. I updated my Windows yesterday, just the usual monthly updates. The issue came back, screen does not turn off, lock screen pops up everytime just a second after it turns black. I don't know what exactly fixed it (I tried restarting and uplugging before) and I hope it stays this way. Select Change Plan Settings next to the option that you have selected. Select Additional power settings in the right pane. Ensure the Sleep setting is set to a desired value. Today I connected the docking station (with the wireless receiver plugged in) and turned on the laptop - it no longer happens! Idle lock screen turns black and stays that way, no waking up. Select the Start button, then select Settings (gear icon). However I turned off my laptop and took it home for the weekend. There is no "Power management" tab in my mouse/keyboard device properties so I cannot disable the "Allow this device to wake computer" option. There are no drivers available to download for Wireless Desktop 900, only the Mouse and Keyboard Center software, which I have installed and it was not helpful at all.
